La oruga

Let's show how much we know in Spanish! La oruga, the caterpillar, in our classroom allows us to start thinking in Spanish from the minute we walk in the room. First, we look at the last word that was added, for example "sombrero." We notice the last letter of that word - "o." Next, we try as hard as we can to come up with a word that starts with that letter... hmmm... for example, the word "oficina." We raise our hands, pronnounce the word correctly, and tell maestra what it means. Maestra adds a circle with the written word and we illustrate what the word means. We already know hundreds of words!
